Westwood, MA, chiropractors Peter Kevorkian and Patti Giuliano, D.C.s, recently received the Service to Sherman College Award from Sherman College of Chiropractic in appreciation of their contributions, time and commitment to growing the chiropractic profession. The Service to Sherman College Award is given to individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary, unselfish and noteworthy service to Sherman College.
Widely known experts and speakers in the chiropractic arena, Drs. Kevorkian and Giuliano champion the future of the profession by mentoring students at Sherman College through speaking, allowing students to shadow at their busy chiropractic practice, and by hosting after-hours events to share their knowledge, experience, and truth. Often they are selected to host students during Sherman College’s practice management elective course, where students learn the hands-on, business side of a chiropractic office. They have presented at many seminars in the profession, both domestically and internationally.
The couple also enjoys connecting Sherman College students with organizations they support, including the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, the League of Chiropractic Women, and the International Federation of Chiropractors and Organizations. Their efforts for chiropractic extend past current students, patients, and colleagues, though; the couple is constantly promoting the profession.
As active Reach Out and Recruit (ROAR) members at Sherman College, Drs. Kevorkian and Giuliano build the profession by speaking at career fairs, local colleges, and high schools, and by hosting career events for prospective students in their town. They currently have four referred and mentored students enrolled at Sherman College. They are truly contributing to the future of Sherman College and ensuring that the profession is alive and well for future generations. Drs. Kevorkian and Giuliano also support Sherman College as members of the President’s Circle, a group of individuals who provide for the advancement of the college with significant annual financial contributions.
Sherman College named its 2016 award recipients April 28-30 as part of Lyceum, an annual continuing education and homecoming event attended by hundreds of chiropractors and students throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held on the college’s campus in Spartanburg, SC, and involves three days of seminars, special events, and other programs.
