Boles, Dooley Named Department Chairs

The college is pleased to announce the filling of two new department chair positions. Dr. Rebecca Boles, ’06, has been appointed chair of the diagnosis and case management department, and Dr. Brian Dooley, ’05, has been named chair of the business department.

Image of Dr. Boles.Dr. Boles, an outstanding clinician who has pursued professional development in accreditation standards, has distinguished herself through managing and improving the college’s Entrance Exam course. Her experience providing patient care and mentoring interns in managing a wide variety of cases as a Sherman College Health Center case doctor has provided her with knowledge and skills needed for this position. “Dr. Boles’ attention to detail and creative thinking will now serve the college at a more extensive level,” said Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Joe Donofrio, ’94 of her new role. “The college is excited to see the impact her skills and knowledge will have in developing this department in support of our mission.”

Image of Dr. DooleyDr. Dooley previously served as director of the Practice Success Program (now known as G10) since its inception; prior to the implementation of G10 courses in the core curriculum, the Practice Success Program (PSP) content was presented in a quarterly seminar-style format. Dr. Dooley’s new role as chair of the business department encompasses his new and continued responsibilities associated with the expansion of G10 courses in the core curriculum. “Dr. Dooley has demonstrated exceptional commitment, investing his time and efforts to build up the business program at Sherman College,” Donofrio said. “As a Sherman College alumnus and ACP graduate, he is positioned perfectly to incorporate the college’s traditions of chiropractic principles with contemporary business practice.”
