Martinezes Honored with Service to the Profession Award from Sherman College of Chiropractic

Aracelly & Eddie Martinez, D.C., of Miami, FL, recently received the Service to the Profession Award from Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC, in recognition of their contributions, time and commitment to the profession, the public and the college. The Service to the Profession Award is given to individuals who has demonstrated extraordinary, unselfish and noteworthy service to the chiropractic profession.

The Martinezes live in Miami and are passionate about sharing the chiropractic profession’s above-down, inside-out principle. Aracelly Martinez is a certified elementary school teacher who was born in Nicaragua and raised in Miami since the age of 12. She is not a chiropractor by degree, but her skills in teaching have led her to be an instrumental force for the chiropractic profession. Since June 2018, when she decided to leave the classroom and focus on her biggest passion of helping chiropractors, Aracelly has served as executive director of the Florida Chiropractic Society. She also teaches chiropractic assistants at Dynamic Essentials seminars.

Eddie Martinez is a 1997 graduate of Life University and has worked in private practice in the South Florida community for more than 24 years; he was trained by Dr. Michael Kale in Knee Chest Upper Cervical Specific Technique. He has served on several mission trips, including Moldova, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic and Peru. Eddie currently serves on the Board of the International Chiropractic Association, and as the president of The Florida Chiropractic Society, which named him Chiropractor of the Year in both 2009 and 2016. He has been a speaker on the Dynamic Essentials platform since 2008.  This chiropractic-driven couple have four children: Alex, Sofia, Gabriel and Kassandra.

Sherman College honored alumni, chiropractors, and supporters during its 48th Lyceum, a homecoming and continuing education event attended by hundreds of chiropractors and students throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held each year and involves three days of seminars, special events and other programs. More than 600 people participated this year.
