Kent and Fluegge are an enterprising duo in the world of franchise ownership and business development. They excel as multi-unit proprietors and territory developers, specializing in thriving health and wellness franchises such as Massage Envy, The Joint Chiropractic, and Hammer & Nails, as featured on Shark Tank.

Beyond their successful ventures, they actively contribute to revitalizing Spartanburg’s downtown, enriching the area’s tenant and retail landscape to better serve the community. Notably, the couple has fostered employment opportunities for Sherman students, and they eagerly welcome Sherman adjusters to provide patient care at their local franchise, The Joint.

Kent, a South Carolina native, began her medical technology career at Tampa General Hospital in 1988. Specializing in hematology and immunology, she later transitioned to quality assurance and outreach coordination roles at hospitals in South Carolina. In 2005, she joined Roche Diagnostics, covering the Southeast region as a technical service representative. Currently, she dedicates her time to working with animal rescues, fostering, healing, and transporting neglected and abused animals. She also contributes to the Boy Scouts of America Palmetto Council to mentor children through scout programs.

Born in Germany, Fluegge had a successful soccer career, earning the title of “All-Star” player for four consecutive seasons and winning a state soccer championship in 1985.
