What do you do to stay connected to Sherman College? To stay connected, I follow Sherman’s social media, continue to connect with faculty and the SABCA chapter at Sherman.

Most Memorable Classmate: Troy Lofton was the most memorable classmate. He usually did something funny to break the ice in class. Cheynia Allen was also memorable, we worked on everything together.

Favorite Sherman College Instructor: My favorite instructors were Drs. Browning and York.

Favorite Memory: A couple of days before graduation, I remember being exhausted and feeling so beat down from exit exams, tests, clinic, boards, and everything. It did not feel like graduation time to me. I just felt so heavy, and I remember my sister texting me saying they were here in Spartanburg and at the mall. I did not even want to go there to see them but, of course, I did. One by one, my mom, sister, brother, nieces, and nephews came around the corner smiling, hugging me, and saying how proud they were of me. They took all the heaviness from my heart and made me realize it was time to celebrate. Graduation time was here!

Favorite Lyceum Memory: My favorite lyceum was the one right after graduation. I was no longer a student and people were calling me doctor! It was nice to catch up with friends and see how they were doing, plus it was a great advantage to get free continuing education credits for the first year out of Sherman.

In your opinion, what has been the best improvement to Sherman you’ve seen since you were a student? The best improvements that I have seen since I was a student have been all the updates on the physical appearance of the college, they have been amazing.

What would you like to see for Sherman College’s next 50 Years? In 50 years, I would like Sherman College to still maintain its philosophy, continue to produce excellent DCs, have a bigger global reach, and expand the campus to be able to help more students.
