Brodheadsville, PA, doctor of chiropractic Bryn Gillow has been honored with the Spirit of Sherman College Award from her alma mater, Sherman College of Chiropractic. The Spirit of Sherman College Award is presented to the Sherman graduate who exemplifies the true spirit of Sherman College in his/her professional life.

Dr. Gillow graduated from Sherman College in 2000 and has been serving practice members at Life is Good Chiropractic in Brodheadsville, PA since 2001. She remains very connected to Sherman College by being an Alumni Association member, serving on the Board of Regents and as an active member of the Reach Out and Recruit Program.

“Dr. Gillow embodies everything that Sherman is about and continually makes an effort to advance both Sherman College and chiropractic in her daily life,” said college President Dr. Edwin Cordero.

She is involved in the profession at the state level as the secretary for the Chiropractic Fellowship of Pennsylvania and at the international level as a board member of the International Federation of Chiropractors and Organizations. As a member of League of Chiropractic Women, she has invited several students to her office in addition to being a featured guest speaker for the Sherman student chapter.

Last year, Dr. Gillow hosted a Sherman Student Recruitment Event in her office, and she has a student enrolling this fall as a result of those efforts. She is a regular participant in New Beginnings and Berkshires Philosophy Weekends

Sherman College named its 2014 award recipients May 1-3 as part of Lyceum, an annual continuing education and homecoming event attended by hundreds of chiropractors throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held on the college’s campus in Spartanburg, SC, and involves three days of seminars, special events, and other programs.
