Conover, NC, chiropractor Eric Goans, D.C., was recently named Reach Out and Recruit (ROAR) Career Advisor of the Year by Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC, in appreciation of his contributions, time and commitment to growing the chiropractic profession.
The ROAR Career Advisor of the Year award is given to an exceptional ROAR member who has gone above and beyond to recruit students to Sherman College. ROAR asks its doctors to reach beyond their comfort zone and help Sherman recruit future leaders for the profession, which Dr. Goans has certainly done.
Known by many for his hard work and approachability, Dr. Goans graduated from Sherman College in 2014 and serves patients at Conover Chiropractic Center in Conover, NC. He is always on the lookout for ways to encourage students to become chiropractors. He came up through the ranks of the ROAR student leadership program while attending Sherman College and has continued with his recruiting success as a graduate.
While he was a student, he influenced two prospective students to enroll in his recruiting efforts. Now as a doctor of chiropractic, he continues to educate patients and college students about chiropractic as a career and leads them through the doors of Sherman College. Since his graduation from Sherman, he has had two additional students enroll at the chiropractic college.
Sherman College named its 2016 award recipients April 28-30 as part of Lyceum, an annual continuing education and homecoming event attended by hundreds of chiropractors and students throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held on the college’s campus in Spartanburg, SC, and involves three days of seminars, special events, and other programs.
