Chiropractic advocate, author, and speaker Keith Wassung has been awarded the honorary Doctor of Chiropractic Humanities degree from Sherman College of Chiropractic, a rare honor given by the college to noteworthy individuals. The degree was presented during Sherman College’s 125th Commencement Ceremony on June 21.
Recipients of the Honorary Doctor of Chiropractic Humanities degree have influenced, initiated and/or carried out specific humanitarian/philanthropic activities that have significantly contributed to or influenced the chiropractic profession and/or humanity-at-large. Sherman President Edwin Cordero, D.C., reviewed Wassung’s accomplishments and approved the recommendation this spring.
Wassung is a nationally known author and speaker in the field of health education and research. A former national drug-free weightlifting champion, he turned to chiropractic health care after being diagnosed with a near fatal health condition. His recovery led him to research, write and lecture about the scientific principles of chiropractic.
