Tullius, D.C., Honored with Service to the Profession Award

San Diego doctor of chiropractic Steve Tullius recently received the Service to the Profession Award from Sherman College of Chiropractic in recognition of his contributions, time and commitment to the chiropractic profession, the public and the college. The Service to the Profession Award is given to an individual who has demonstrated extraordinary, unselfish and noteworthy service to the chiropractic profession.

Dr. Tullius graduated in 2002 from Los Angeles Chiropractic College and runs Good Vibrations Family Chiropractic in San Diego. He furthered his understanding and appreciation of chiropractic philosophy when he completed Sherman College’s Academy of Chiropractic Philosophers program in 2011.

Dr. Tullius is active in the profession, serving as a board member of the International Federation of Chiropractors and Organizations. He is a member of the California Chiropractic Association (and served as secretary to that organization from 2011-2012), and is also a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, the Association for the History of Chiropractic, and the Sustainability Committee. He is a co-founder of the Movement for Chiropractic Quality & Integrity.

He has presented at Life West Lyceum, the Academy of Chiropractic Philosophers Program and the California Chiropractic Association Annual Convention. He has held public lectures with the San Diego Autism Workshop, the Talk About Curing Autism program and the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego.

Dr. Tullius is a co-investigator for A Delphi Consensus Process & Survey called “Attitudes of Students and Recent Graduates of Chiropractic Educational Programs Regarding Curricular Content, Preparation for Practice and the Future of the Chiropractic Profession.” In addition, he is completing publications on vertebral subluxation as a causative factor in epilepsy and vertebral subluxation and its effect on quality of life in autistic individuals.

In addition to all these professional accolades, Dr. Tullius is an accomplished web developer and designer and Sherman College has been working with him on its mobile responsive design to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

Sherman College named its 2014 award recipients May 1-3 as part of Lyceum, an annual continuing education and homecoming event attended by hundreds of chiropractors throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held on the college’s campus in Spartanburg, SC, and involves three days of seminars, special events, and other programs.
