Each month, Health Center Case Doctors nominate interns from their cohort who have performed exceptionally well over the last month and throughout their time in the clinic. The criteria for Intern of the Month are based on visit numbers, patient education, time management, and clinical skills.
Sherman College Health Center is happy to announce Olivia Jeter, a 12th quarter student intern, has been named Intern of the Month for May 2023. Olivia's nomination came from her case doctors, Drs. Sarah Hock, '08, and Shannon Martin.
Olivia completed 154 visits for the quarter at the end of May 2023. She has consistently started new patients throughout all of her quarters, which she acquired herself and with some referrals from her other patients. Olivia also volunteered to do a screening during the spring quarter of 2023 and started several new patients in chiropractic care. Olivia has great documentation skills, and with her chiropractic knowledge from early childhood, talking about chiropractic to others in the community comes naturally. Both case doctors believe that her efforts made her well-deserving for the nomination, and they are excited to see the growth of Olivia in her last two quarters here at Sherman.
