Mile High Chiropractic Movement Weekend 2023 |
Mile High Weekend took place from September 21st to 24th in Denver, CO, marking its eleventh year (MH11). Drs. Bourla, Dooley, Goff, and Canup attended the event, along with Ali Frick, a Sherman student who was chosen as the featured student speaker. Dr. Bourla spoke at the main event and the Regent Appreciation Luncheon.
The Mile High Weekend is an annual event that brings together chiropractors and their teams from all over the world to learn more about the philosophy, art, science, and business of Chiropractic. The profession of Chiropractic is constantly being challenged to move away from its time-tested basics. Mile High is a gathering of doctors who wish to restore the integrity of Chiropractic to its original stature and make a greater impact on their practices, their communities, and the Chiropractic profession.

A Heartfelt Message from Sherman President Jack Bourla, DC |
Friends, I have a dream.
I have a dream that Sherman College will be that school that pays its faculty and staff the highest of all other colleges, adjusted for our area of the country. I have a dream that Sherman College will be that school that has the lowest student tuition of all other colleges. I have a dream that Sherman College will have a brand new chiropractic center with a pediatric wing, a research wing, an imaging wing (with CBCT, thermal imaging camera, X ray, fMRI), and a modern chiropractic care center. I would like to name it the Beacon of Hope, calling all people from the surrounding community to get chiropractic care.
I have a dream that Sherman College will have a daycare facility, gym and pet care center so that students and faculty and staff can focus on making chiropractic great and not worry about their kids or pets or health.
I have a dream that Sherman College has an endowment fund to provide scholarships for students and money to build facilities that will advance chiropractic (Harvard U has an endowment of about $52 billion…). I have a dream that Sherman College graduates are super clear on their role in society and are the best prepared to detect and to entice innate to correct vertebral subluxations. These dreams can be realized if we band together and focus on the prize…chiropractic for all who want our services. |
