Sherman College of Chiropractic continued to make powerful connections and strengthen its presence in the Lone Star State at a recent series of events in Round Rock and Austin, Texas. Trustee Dr. Steve Tullius and President Dr. Jack Bourla led the charge, hosting a successful ROAR (Reach Out and Recruit) event in Round Rock on Thursday, March 27. The event resulted in four new ROAR doctors joining Sherman’s growing network—with more expected to follow.

President Bourla extended his time in Texas to attend the Chiropractic Society of Texas (CST) annual event over the weekend. The CST agenda proudly featured an impressive lineup of Sherman College graduates, faculty, supporters, and Board members, each reinforcing Sherman’s role as a leader in principled chiropractic education.

Among the speakers:

Dr. Tony Carrino, Sherman College’s malpractice carrier, emphasized risk management strategies while applauding Sherman College as the premier institution producing the finest Doctors of Chiropractic.

Dr. Sean Walker, an ACP graduate, offered an insightful presentation on Chiropractic Cycles.

Dr. Shawn Dill, a valued member of Sherman’s Board of Trustees, shared expertise on chiropractic philosophy and business.

Dr. Amy Haas presented her groundbreaking paper on the neuro-endocrine-immune system, co-authored by Sherman’s own Dr. Chris Kent.

Dr. Bill Decken delivered a captivating talk on chiropractic philosophy and previewed an exciting historical project he is developing on Sherman College’s legacy.

Throughout the CST event, each speaker demonstrated a deep connection to Sherman College, frequently referencing the institution’s impact and commitment to excellence.

President Bourla summed up the weekend perfectly, stating, "I was a proud participant in the audience."

Sherman College’s voice and vision continue to inspire, educate, and lead the chiropractic community forward.

We’re also excited to give a special shoutout to our ROAR students! These future doctors were referred to Sherman by dedicated chiropractors who understand the life-changing power of principled chiropractic and want to see the next generation succeed. Through the ROAR Referral Program, these students join our community with a strong foundation of support, encouragement, and connection.

Showcase Sherman Weekend is designed to inspire those interested in pursuing a fulfilling career as a doctor of chiropractic. We'd love you to join us to help share Sherman with your referrals, especially if you've never attended. During Showcase, prospective students will:

The energy was electric, and the smiles were contagious at KidVenture 2025, hosted right here at Sherman College of Chiropractic on March 15, 2025! Our campus was transformed into a vibrant playground where families, friends, and community partners came together for an unforgettable day of exploration, learning, and fun.

From the moment guests arrived, the excitement was in the air. Children and parents alike were thrilled to get up close and personal with fire trucks and police vehicles, learning from the real heroes in our community. Live music kept the good vibes rolling, as little ones danced, laughed, and played the day away.

The fun didn’t stop there! Families enjoyed interactive, hands-on activities hosted by local organizations, as well as exciting games, creative stations, and engaging exhibits designed to spark curiosity and connection. Whether it was the roar of a siren or the rhythm of the music, there was something magical around every corner.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, participated, and helped make KidVenture 2025 a memorable success. Events like these remind us how special it is when our Sherman College family connects with our local community.
